Healing our wounds, be they old or new, is something we may both desire and avoid. The injury feels too severe, the process too painful, or we may perceive ourselves as lacking the strength required for the task at hand. This penultimate entry from The Unpolished Self series serves to remind us that we may be most strong when we are weak, and most able to heal when we turn – with kindness and compassion – towards our suffering.
