Leanne is best known as an Australian entrepreneur who founded the popular and award winning skin care brand, Billie Goat Soap. Leanne grew the company from her kitchen to the world retail stage, but success came at a price, particularly as the company struggled through the GFC. In 2011 she was diagnosed with situational depression and was unable to work. For the first time in her career, Leanne felt like a failure.
For the past few years Leanne has been on a journey of self-discovery. She has explored many ways to recover from her experience of business failure. It has been a painful process, and in 2014 she summoned the courage to attend the inaugural MSC five day workshop in Byron Bay, facilitated by Kristy Arbon & James Bennett-Levy. This was a breakthrough experience for her.
Today she is an advocate for developing mental health services to address the needs of small business owners, and regularly blogs about her experiences.
Leanne lives on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia with her wonderful husband, two incredible sons and several geriatric furry family members. Despite already having a Degree and Masters in Adult Education, Leanne has returned to university this year to complete a Bachelor of Psychology. She blames Kristy for inspiring her to return to the books!
