Hello, my name is Stephanie Stewart and I live in the city of four seasons in one day, Melbourne Australia.
Growing up I always had a passion for health and wellness and knew this was the field in which I wanted to pursue a career. However after contracting Meningitis and subsequently being diagnosed with an Autonomic Nervous System disorder things began to change. My intention had not changed but the path to achieving my aspirations did.
After a long stint in and out of hospital and existing rather than living, my passion grew even stronger and instead of aspiring for a ‘career’ I came to see my aspiration as a purpose in my life. I became a qualified counsellor through a diploma at the Australian College of Applied Psychology and loved it however there was something missing.
As a Buddhist, spirituality was central in my day to day living and so I became a Buddhist Chaplain working in hospital environments. I also began to teach meditation and am currently leading and teaching groups in the Awakening Joy course.
There have been some powerful insights throughout my life however none more profound as when I discovered Mindful Self-Compassion. I immediately began to apply it to my life and saw huge benefits to my health, my mind and how I interacted with my reality. This soon became a passion and one that I am in the midst of exploring, learning and working towards becoming another area of which I can share with others.
My intention is to support, empower and guide others to finding within themselves their source of health, happiness and love in order for them to live more at ease and with greater wellbeing. Remembering that “the purpose of life is to be happy” a quote from the Dalai Lama.
